Scott McKinney serves as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner with Generational Executive Search (GES), a leading executive retained search and consulting firm. With more than 20 years’ experience in search as a global generalist, he has a proven track record of leading, executing and delivering top talent solutions to his clients. His passion for the search industry encompasses innovative talent strategy, thought leadership, successful execution and, most importantly, a deep understanding of his clients’ cultural needs. His focus is to partner with his clients, both large and small, to help them achieve success through effective talent solutions, filling their mission-critical positions.
Prior to joining GES, Scott enjoyed over five years in Corporate America with Altisource Solutions, a global leader in providing services and technology for the financial and real estate industries. During this time, he led the talent acquisition function by creating and implementing new innovative processes. This improvement resulted in a more proactive sourcing function, stronger partnership with Human Resources and allowed Organizational Development to have a greater impact on the candidate selection process. Being proactive also allowed the business to focus on revenue and profit by shortening the overall onboarding process. Some of the successful solutions led to the company’s business units establishing an effective enterprise-wide talent selection process, including newly established key 120-day goals, KSAs and business cases. His previous experience includes over 15 years of search experience, offering talent solutions throughout the Fortune 1000, start-up companies, investment banks and public accounting firms.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Scott began his career as a Financial Advisor with Bear Stearns and Raymond James for seven years. At the time, Raymond James had the premier advisory team, which gave him the ability to learn critical strategic planning solutions for his clients.
Scott is a native of Georgia, married for 20 years and father of two amazing children.
